This conversion set is based on the Aeroclub conversion set for the same aircraft. Aeroclub provided injection molded front fuselage halves with a white metal interior, which in my book was not ideal. The white metal parts lack the fine detail that could be attained in resin and fortunately Neomega have addressed this by releasing a resin interior for the twin seat variants of the lovely Lightning.

You can purchase the resin interior alone if you already have the Aeroclub set or you can purchase the Neomega set complete with the Aeroclub fuselage pieces if you are starting from scratch. This conversion could be applied to the Airfix F.1/F.1A/F.2/F.3 to get either an RAF T.4 or T.5 or to the Airfix F.2A/F.6 to get an export T.55.

The resin parts are nicely presented in the normal Neomega style resin and the detail is pretty good. You are given plenty to make the little cockpit look very busy, and there is enough there to keep you "detail painting" for a good few hours.

The Aeroclub fuselage pieces are also reasonably well done and it looks like they will fit with little adjustment. The surface detail on these pieces is easily adequate, however some builders may want to run their favourite scribing tool over the existing panel lines to sharpen them up to match the Airfix kit.
Overall this is a great conversion for your Airfix Lightning and certainly the twin seaters have a little something about them. Another twin seat conversion is produced by CMK, and while I have not seen it myself, let alone measured it however I am told it is too short creating a "stubby" lightning. The Aeroclub set certainly looks correct when compared to the real thing and I wish Neomega would do the same thing for the Hunter T.7/8 as the Aeroclub metal cockpits parts don't do this set justice either.
