This was the first resin cockpit made for the Mirage 2000 in 1/48th and the set was designed to fit the Heller kit, however with some degree of work it can be made to fit the Esci/Italeri kit. I initially didn't think this was possible, however I have since seen it done. I have no infromation as to whether it would fit the Monogram/Revell kit. The set is nicely cast in resin with some good detail.but both of my examples have broken peices, such as the cockpit glare shield. This should be easy to repair, however it is a shame they could not be packed better.

I'd recomend this set for those building the Heller Mirage 2000C if you can get it, however I would not recommend trying to fit this into the Esci/Italeri kit now since the Neomega cockpit is a much better fit (in fact perfect!) for this kit and is currently available. This is the Eduard PE sheet for the Heller Mirage 2000C (Although it could be used to detail the Heller/Airfix twin seaters, especially using two of these sheets to detail the Airfix Mirage 2000B). Generally these PE sets are not interchangable between kits due to the different instrument panel shapes conflicting with differing shapes of the fuselage interior.

After the release of the Black Box Mirage 2000 cockpit I heard of several people trying to fit this into the Esci/Italeri kit and while this is possible it involved a bit of work. Neomega now offer thier own cockpit set intended purely for the Esci/Italeri kits.

The set is well cast in resin with some impressive detail that matches that provided by Black Box. Compared directly with the Black Box cockpit, both sets portray the area behind the canopy differently and the Neomega representation looks to have captured this area more accurately than Black Box.
